Wu Chien-Shiung Professorship
The Wu Chien-Shiung Professorship was established with support from a donor who prefers to stay anonymous.  This professorship is named after the Chinese physicist Chien-Shiung Wu, who was awarded the first Wolf Prize in Physics in 1978 for a revolutionary discovery in the field of atomic and nuclear physics. Her remarkable achievement has advanced the frontiers of science research, and it perfectly echoes with the donor’s aim to promote high impact research and strengthen HKUST’s academic caliber.
