Yuk-Shee Chan Professorship in Business
This Professorship in Business was established by the University in honor of the late Professor Yuk-Shee CHAN, the Founding Dean of our School of Business and Management.

A leading finance scholar with a global vision, the late Prof. Yuk-Shee Chan played a pivotal role in boosting the international standing of the School and making it “World Class in Asia.” Among the various strategic initiatives pursued by the School under his leadership was the launch of the Executive MBA program in partnership with the Kellogg School of Management. During his 16 years of service at HKUST, Prof. Chan contributed significantly to the academic development of the University.

The late Prof. Yuk-Shee Chan was appointed the Founding Dean of the School of Business and Management of HKUST in 1993 and served as the Vice-President for Academic Affairs of the University from 2001 to 2006. In 2007, Prof. Chan was appointed the President of Lingnan University, a post he held until retirement in 2013.
